Setting up Benchmarking Programmes for Overseas Countries
The Centre has a worldwide reputation for its work in pioneering benchmarking and interfirm comparison and developing the use of management ratios for assessing business performance. Over the past fifty years the Centre has helped to set up specialist benchmarking organisations in other countries.
We have also provided training courses for a number of overseas governments and private agencies which have wanted to introduce benchmarking techniques. We have found particular interest in benchmarking in developing countries as an aid to productivity and we have been able to design for them special programmes, often with the benefit of funding by international agencies such as UNIDO, ILO, The World Bank and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
